Surely there are stations in the North East of England that start with an H. (Hartlepool, Heworth, Hexham, Heighington)

I'll play Ilkley for I, as it seems to be the nearest station.

Certainly not the north west. :razz: As for York counting, I'm not sure it's in the 'north east' per se (Tyne & Wear, Teeside, Northumberland, County Durham). However, when letters haven't had stations in that region, I've personally used wherever's nearest, so I would allow York on that basis.

York would be good on a Yorkshire version; but I propose that we first visit the North West. There are many stations in Greater Manchester/Merseyside, so I suggest we avoid these and only use Cumbria, Lancashire and parts of North Yorkshire, as per this photoshopped
map.

Entwistle is just outside Greater Manchester...just.
