Trying to fill in some gaps in a day out. It was back on 28/3 so I can't look any of it up on RTT.

Easy question first:

- Which 317s worked the 1905 non-stop Broxbourne to London Liverpool St?

Now the fiddly questions.

In my notes, I wrote down

455 2005 WAT-CLJ (Shepperton)
377 CLJ-VIC pl18

So I travelled out of Waterloo to Clapham Junction on SWR, changed to a Southern service to Victoria.

Going back as far as I can with RTT, it looks like there is no 2005 Waterloo - Shepperton. RTT shows a 2012 to Shepperton.

- Are my notes wrong, and there was no 2005?
- Assuming the next Shepperton was a 2012, which 455 worked it?

Next, there is obviously no platform 18 at Clapham Junction so I assume this refers to the platform at Victoria. This matches with my memories of the day.

- So, is it possible to find out which 377 worked CLJ-VIC, departing CLJ approximately between 2025 and 2030 and arriving into platform 18 at Victoria?
- Where did this 377 originate from?

Thanks for any info!

1H57 1840 Littlehampton to London Victoria departed Clapham Junction at 2021.

No chance of finding out what the 377s were unless someone observed them. I imagine you would have stepped off the Shepperton train onto the adjacent train into Victoria as the arrival and departure times are both 2020 / 2021.

Reports on the ukmodernemu group suggest the outbound working was
18:26 2O96 LIVERPLST 317348 317506,

@JonathanH - THANK YOU. I had no idea you could do that with RTT. Care to share the secret (please)?

You're quite correct about the change at CLJ; now you've mentioned it I do remember running across the platform from the SWR train to the Southern train, so that makes complete sense.

I'm not so worried about the 377; they'll be around for a while yet. I was out and about getting 455s, 317s, stuff that's going to be withdrawn soon. So having that info is very useful.

Thanks again. :)

Although you can't search by location over seven days ago, the individual trains remain in the database for a longer period.

Therefore, look at the timetable on a corresponding day of the week - I looked at Monday 25 April. Then change the date in the web address - in this case, replacing 04-25 by 03-28. Obviously, it will be harder around timetable changes or engineering work as the UID for the train (L55097 for the Shepperton train) may change - in this case to Y69070 from 16 May.

It worked in this case but won't always do so.

Interesting, thanks. Is there an easy way to find out the train's UID? Does it stay with that service - so the same service every week day has the same UID?

377401 / 377450 - 1H57 1840 Littlehampton to London Victoria

The two Cl.317's, as mentioned above, are correct.
