All (to) Euston services suspended?

Anybody any ideas? Just heard this at Wolves on board Virgin 07:04.

Some form of signalling failure is the cause of disruption this morning.

Is there a stick thread for daily rail issues? I've often seen things on station I thought would help other travellers but not thought it worth a new thread.

There is a TOTAL signal failure on fast & slow lines. London Overground is still operational. There is road transport between Hemel & Watford being organised but no indication of when services will resume.

Apparently Network Rail put in a temporary fix but this has also failed sso it could be a long day for those travelling in/out of Euston.

Just had an update. Problem likely to be until 11:00am.

DarloRich opened a new thread at 0848 today on the NR General Discussion sub-forum on the WCML problems in this area this morning, so I made a posting on that sub-forum referring to this thread, which has more information on it.

Very few train seem to be leaving Euston, and almost none arriving. At least the BML is getting a rest from the signalling problems of last week!

On the 0918 from Bedford to St Pancras - absolutely packed on a 9 coach train whereas normally everyone comfortably fits on 7 coaches - so it seems like people might be taking the advice to use alternative routes!

Depends on the type of trains delayed, if they were cancelled, stopped short etc... I don't know the exact numbers, but the Virgins will cost a good few quid.

Live update for Depratures and Arrivals is not working either.

Information on National Rail website is very sketchy.

ATOC and the train companies always say that they are improving customer information, but it just never seems to happen.

On a more serious note, it was not a good day. As was said before though, it did seem to me like customers were taking the advice of alternative routes which meant that once services did start running they weren't overloaded like crazy.

Was approaching 6500 around 3.30pm, it seemed to stay around there for some time so wonder if it's levelling off...

Over 7,000 minutes now.

I was very lucky; went down to the station just after mid-day, expecting to be in for a long wait and my usual train turned up more-or-less on time hock:

24 hours later it is just under 7300... So much for levelling off...

Must say it was nice to see the good old british way of dealing with it from (most of) the passengers.
No pushing, shoving, shouting, queue barging just the usual grumbling and tutting from everyone!
