I will be buying an all line rover ticket from my local station. Is it possible to make reservations before I purchase the ticket, since it is only possible to purcahse 3 days in advance
Thanks
The TransPennine website definitely can as I have just used it earlier today, although it appears to be limited to making 10 reservations each week so you may want to prioritise the busiest services first if using this option.Your local station should be able to make seat reservations.
The GWR and TPE Web sites are also reported to be able to do the same, although recent reports might be that the former can no longer do this.

Yes that is a good workaround, I have 2 LNER accounts because of their tighter restrictions on only 2 reservations being held on any single day.If you really need more reservations you can make another account
While this is certainly possible I have had issues in the past making more than 1 or 2 reservations for the same day, so this method may require multiple trips to the ticket office or using multiple ticket offices. You can also make seat reservations in advance at any booking office, provided that you can convince the staff that you will be using an All-Line Rover.
