All Line Rover - ticket marked affects validity?

Firstly, I'd like to apologise if this is posted in the wrong forum. Wasn't sure if this should go in disputes or the general fares forum.

Now, I am currently on the fourth day of my 1st class 7-day All Line Rover, intending to use the Caledonian Sleeper tonight. Up until now, when I've had my ticket checked, it has been handed straight back to me with no marks made on the ticket. However, on my way to Tweedbank, the guard on the service marked the ticket with a pen. I'm just wondering if this affects the remaining validity of the ticket? The information is still perfectly readable, but I'm worried that the mark on the ticket may cause issues when I present the ticket for inspection to board the CS and for the remaining three days usage.

That's good to know. Seems I was worrying over nothing, but where it hadn't been marked until now, my concern was understandable.

Probably force of habit on the guard's part. A scribble/circle/etc is, mostly, just a way of marking the ticket as 'seen', nothing more. Enjoy the rest of your trip!

No issue whatsoever.

You might want to obtain a ticket wallet to keep an ALR in, in my experience it makes them look more like a season ticket rather than hand guards a ticket in a fashion they'd expect to mark a ticket. You'll probably then find you're offered renewals on your 'weekly season ticket' on its final day.
