Hi all

Am planning on doing an All Line Rover just a query about the 10 o'clock rule at Birmingham New Street. From reading the restrictions I am assuming that it ok to be passing through on a Cross Country as you don't alight e.g. Nottingham to Cardiff

Many thanks

From NRE:

The All Lines Rail Rover is not valid for boarding or alighting train services operated by CrossCountry, East Midlands Trains, Virgin Trains or Virgin Trains East Coast before 10:00 Mondays to Fridays at the following stations:
Birmingham New Street
...

So you should be fine. It's to stop the ALR being used instead of certain long-distance season tickets which are more expensive.

That's correct. You are not permitted to get on nor get off but you can pass through.

And it only applies to Virgin and CrossCountry. London Midland and Arriva Trains Wales you can get on and off at any time.
