My last journey in 2025. This wasn't originally planned at all and it was due to a trip the week before that caused this trip to happen. For short since 2025 started, I have dedicated myself to only riding Class 377s out of Brighton as I really dislike the ironing board seats on the 387s and 700s (this is excluding the 377/6 and 377/7). Which I have done so until after the last Class 455 booked running day, a disruption happened on the BML, passengers including me there got sent on a train as far as Gatwick Airport from Victoria as other trains were all cancelled, unfortunately, the only train that can take me back to Brighton was a Thameslink service. And hence which my streak for only 377s going into and out of Brighton was broken. I wasn't happy to end of the year with my streak broken and as a result this day out was planned. I wanted to do something with the 377s, and so why not try and ride all 377s variants in a single day.

This journey was done on the 28 December 2025 Starting from Brighton on 1A25, consisted of 377 145, 377 108 and 377 474, which I rode 377 145 first all the way up to Victoria. With the 377/1 ticked off.
After a quick lunch with the next stop being London Bridge on 377 313 (which was what I took) and 377 320 on the rear. running 2F38 With now having a 377/3 ticked off. And it was my first time (officially) to explore this route, I quite like crystal palace station, it looks very pretty. (Wasn't my first time on the Balham to Crystal Palace section, as the previous journey the week before this day out en route to Gatwick Airport 1T00, had been diverted on to this line due to the disruption that night).
After arriving into London Bridge, I initially wanted to ride on 377 519 or 377 523 as they were the only full pair of 377/5 at the time. But due to me just missing them at London Bridge, I decided to just go to St Mary Cray first and wait for a 377/5 there instead as there were no other 377/5 around London Bridge at the time. So I took 375 911 (which was the one i took) with 375 621 on the rear running 1U71. Only going as far as St Mary Cray, but even there the wait time for 377 519 and 377 523 to arrive at St Mary Cray were too long and I decided to take another alterative out of the 4 377/5 that were out at the time (to my memory and all 4 were on London Cannon Street - Ashford International services), 2 of which were paired up with a 377/1. And I decided to take one of them as they were nearly an hour ahead of where 377 519 and 523 is. Which is 1U31 ran by 377 123 and 377 508 on the rear back to London Bridge and obviously I took 377 508 with it being my first ever 377/5 to ride on. And with it that is a 377/5 ticked off.
After arriving at London Bridge I would then return to the Southern routes and rode 377 621 running 1P45 to Caterham going as far as East Croydon with that ticking off the 377/6. With it that is 4 out of 7 variants done. Funny enough in the same month I have seen 377 621 before back in Brighton covering a Southampton diagram which was really special.
After arriving at East Croydon and grabbing something to eat. Then out of lucky timing I was able to catch 1A51 ran by 377 426, 377 203 (which i got on this one) and 377 440, there a decent amount of 377/2s out that day but none were close enough to East Croydon expect for this one. Either way that is a 377/2 ticked off and I got as far as Clapham Junction. From there I took 378 257 on 2Y66 as far as Kensington Olympia (first time visiting there too), then a short wait later to ride 377 705 running 2O67 back to Clapham Junction now having to tick off a 377/7.
After arriving back in Clapham Junction I waited for my next train that being 1L59 ran by 377 446 and 377 458 back to London Victoria, that having the last 377 variant I had to ride, the 377/4 ticked off and with that, I was able to ride all class 377 variants all in a single day complete!

After returning to London Victoria I went for a quick dinner at Wetherspoons before catching 1A62 ran by 377 203 (a unit which I have rode earlier in the same day) and 377 426 in the rear headed back to Brighton feeling a bit more satisfy now that I was able to end the year off with a class 377!
the hard part mostly are the 377/2, 377/5 and maybe 377/7 as well. Not that many 377/2 were out that day and those that are out are across the entire Southern network so that needed a bit lucky timing, the 377/5 are also as hard when only 4 of them were out that day with very long spaced out timings. The 377/7 is the least hard out of the 3 variants, there were also 4 of their units out 2 of which were on Victoria - Dorking diagrams while the other 2 were working Watford Junction diagrams. Though I caught them at a time where I think it was North Pole junction? (the part where the 377/7 changes from DC to AC power) was closed and it was near end of the day service where the 2 unit were about to head back to Selhurst. I am sure on a weekday around London this would be easier. At least for me a Sunday just so happen to work out best without a need to ride on a single class 387 nor class 700. So all is well. Hope to restart my streak by next year.
