Seems there are works on line from Algeciras so only one train running, which is early morning. Annoyingly the mid afternoon loco hauled kicked into touch, which was train I was planning to do. Useless Renfe site hints at using a train from Malaga but with no information as to how to reach it from Algeciras or even if it's possible.
If anyone could give me any info on this it would be appreciated (afraid my Spanish is non-existant) as there are 6 of us and not relishing an 06.20 start.
Thanks in advance

IF this line is under repair then I think all trains are cancelled-its very rough area to run replacem bus in.
There are BUSes along coast-of course, not even need to ask, both doing the coastal slow route via dozens of well-known sunny-seaside resorts or fast express (about 2-hourly, most come from far western, even Cadiz) to Mlg-where the train/bus is a combined giant shopping centre.

The site says passengers will be conveyed by bus to Malaga for AVE2183 which leaves around 1800. So it's a RRB, but how you book is another matter... at a pure guess, you book from Malaga, show up at Algeciras for 1500 and see what transpires.

Thanks, the info didn't get that far when I looked. Did mention that train but couldn't get it to scroll any further so wasn't sure if there was a bus or not.
