Alerts when a service starts or reaches a certain point

Is there any way that I can be alerted (presumably by email) when a service starts or reaches a specified point? One use case would be to know when a passenger train that I plan to catch starts its journey on a specified day. Another would be when a freight train scheduled for multiple days either starts or reaches a particular point on its journey. In the freight case, the alert would be be associated with all instances of that service over the time period, not just one day.

This is a slightly idle thought so feel free to ask more questions about what I'm looking for as I'm not really sure myself!

This is possible with a rail record member account which is obviously a paid subscription. If this is all you're after I am happy to let you try it out via DM.

*The location would need to be a mandatory timing point eg a major junction or station that appears in most schedules.
Alerts can be set recurring basis
