I visited Elbasan station. There was a notice advertising a train at 13.05 to Durres. At 12.05 there was no sign of life. Diesel no. 1053 was nearby and there were two badly graffiti coaches in the platform line. Possibly the recent earthquake may have disrupted the centre of operations at Durres.

Apparantly the system is temp shut. Some say due to the earth quake. Some say fuel shortages.

As Durres is operational centre, the earthquake may have stopped any running. Hope closure only temporary.

DSO confirms temporary complete closure. Grafiti is part of the normal livery on every coach hey have that can move.
The only certain sector to likely come back into service is Tirana (new stop)-Durres with new branch to airport, as this was recently approved. The rest remains hope&pray but expect the worst.
