Lately the air conditioning hasn't been working on a lot of trains on my line. It is too hot to be bearable going to and from town. Is this normal on other electric trains?

Same on the 350s out of Euston, some coaches hot, one next to it is cool. Always worth checking another coach in the train.

The usual excuse is railway operates a 2 tier maintenance, (safety related and everything else), so even if same depot maintains both brakes and air conditioning, they will often only do the one in a safety category, and not bother as promptly to fix the passenger facilities faults.

I can live without the air con, so long as SE get the toilet situation under control.
