Dave's on cue, I see!

The Sprinter's white headlights and signal's green aspect, suggest a SPAD, or a fault on track-circuit or signal. Either way, it should clear things out after travelling a short way into the tunnel, then reversing and repeating.

The SUFC merchandise in close foreground reminded me that Scunthorpe United has played against Arsenal once in football's competitive history.
The match took place on September 25, 1968, in the Third Round of the Football League Cup at Scunthorpe's former home stadium, The Old Show Ground.
First Division Arsenal defeated Fourth Division Scunthorpe 6–1. Arsenal reached the League Cup final.
Up The Gunners!
The cap is clearly Aston Villa - always be prepared ;)

Specially printed with rows and rows of the same number - 47 555 - so you underline it in red umpteen times and work out at a glance how many times you've been hauled by it!
and a different colour if you were bowled by it.

On a serious note on this CD monster being everywhere at the same time, in the 80's my mate was convinced there was more than one - reason being one had a plated headcode panel and on the other end a black domino, so when looking back at his photos he thought he had proof!

Inspired by Sonning Cutting, this scene reduces the real-life cutting's monumental size (and cuts it down to a two-track line), to make gas turbine 18100's train and bridge have more presence.

Recalling SNCF's thirteen distinctive T2000 "RTG" gas-turbine units. I saw them at Caen, on the Paris-Cherbourg line.

Union Pacific's "Big Blow" Alco-GE GTEL third-genration gas turbine locomotives - rated nominally at 8,500hp, with up to 10,000hp recorded - must have been a spectacular sight and sound. Here, GTEL 8 stands at Ogden, Utah; and 17 crosses the Lucin Cutoff over Utah's Great Salt Lake, where a differing salinity to either side of the railroad's causeway results in the differing water colours.

Sevilla's (Spain) rapid charging system, known as ACR (Acumulador de Carga Rápida), enables the trams to fast-charge their onboard batteries, by temporarily connecting their pantograph to a conductive charge bar at city-centre tram stops.

An unlikely partnership results in IET trains adopting the same technology. Here is an IET on test in Sevilla.

Inspired by the former (closed 1960) tramline network in Sevilla, southwestern Spain. This re-imagined scene sees a 1930-era 100-series car passing a 1945-build 300-series, in Triana district just south of the centre.

Remeber the inflatables craze amongst football fans in the late 1980s? Here's an archive pic of Grimsby fans and their "Harry Haddocks" on Cleethorpes station waiting to board a football special for an away FA Cup tie at Sheffield Wednesday in 1988.

Are you sure it's 1988? I could have sworn that I saw a 185 lurking in the background....and they weren't introduced until 2006.

Clearly waiting to make its debut.

People do not actually know this, but Cleethorpes station was the test bed for the modern dot matrix style displays on platforms. Because everyone always left the station in the correct direction towards Grimsby, it took almost 20 years to conclude that these were useful enough to role out at other stations.

I believe the Sheffield Wednesday game was switched to an evening kick off for broadcast on DAZN.

A re-tendering of aggregate / construction rail haulage, leads to Spain's Continental Rail being the winning bidder. Its class 333 and 335 locomotives - suitably scaled-down to the UK loading gauge - soon make their appearances.

Lost Emerald. Recalling the 1980s for Irish beet and fertilizer traffic; although those elderly wooden vans had gone by then.

Get out of my feckin yeard, ye bollix!
:lol::lol:
"An' put dat camera away!"

It's not only yardmen who want me off their turf. Abandoned 101 class, an abandoned Hino lorry and a chap who's clearly abandoned a life of material possessions.

Inspired by the port of Cadiz in Spain. These serie 319 (GM) and serie 333 (MOHAB) locomotives are distant cousins of Irish Rail's class 071 and DSB's class MZ.

Two excellent contributions @Ashley Hill and @Sun Chariot. One just hopes that that fox is indeed on the way back from being appointed Professor of Cunning in the Department of Cunningology and Linguistics at Cunning College, Oxford

(Has to be Oxford, it is GWR territory)

I suspect the impoverished rural fox has determined that an urban existence has more promise in the modern world of steam, industry and domestic waste, and is hoping to jump a train to the big city.

Sort of like a Dick Whittington for the Foxy Bingo generation?

Maybe the fox heard that the streets of London are paved with discarded kebabs and buckets of fried chicken (not sure foxes have any use for gold)?

Foxes are cunning, they learn.

Square burgers indeed...
I imagine the square toastie-burger was grabbed off a table inside Chariot. The fox's fifth forearm probably helped.
Looks like meat will be served with a good burger-ring, to at least one of that couple on the right.

But for the fox on a budget there's really only one place to eat.
Brilliant.
Did they get a Bishops Finger afterwards? Fine session-beer.
Patrons of Spoons can laugh at the hapless train-occupants, confined inside their doorless carriage and lacking beer.

I only just noted that. Fair to say I have not slept much.

@CaptainHaddock effort is magnificent. To get so much text right is unholy. Clearly, that AI had not been on the £1.29 John Smiths.

My foxes are happier. Clearly reassured with the price of their curry night deal.

The foxes and pubs idea is excellent @CaptainHaddock and @Topological because, after a while in pub, even a previously-unattractive person looks a bit of a fox. ;)

ARP blackout measures seem incongruous in Speyside. It's 1945, hostilities up here are gone. A Reid D34 awaits arrival of a stopper from Dufftown, ready to take the train to Forres.
