Agency workers regulations

I was doing voluntary work in an agency when these laws were announced. The general consensus was they'd (and presumably other agencies) would only take on self-employed workers to get around this.
I suspect there have been few cases because of people being forced to go self-employed (and exempt from the regulations), some being sacked after 11 weeks and 4 days and others not having the cash to challenge it.

Agencies in and around Scunthorpe are still taking on "normal" workers, so they are covered by the laws. However, more and more vacancies are popping up at the job center now with the words "self employed" in the description ....
