Advice regarding Scotrail interview

Hi ive got an interview with scotrail next week. I have been asked to write an essay of 300 words on these three subjects.
· What qualities should the ideal train driver possess?
· What are the main responsibilities of a train driver?
· What qualities do you feel you can bring to the role?

Any advice you all can give would be great thanks

Great atttention span and sense of responisbility, excellent time keeping skills and most importantly great memory as you will need to remember the the rule book and the routes you drive

What are the main responsibilities of a train driver?
obeying all of the rules, running there train as booked, keeping all the passengers safe, and possibly opperating the doors if your train is DOO

the last one i guess is kinda personal

I am not a driver btw but my dad is so i hope that is useful

I thought the interview was competency based so is this the final interview or is this the competency part? It is good they are giving you this time to prepare good luck.

A train driver needs to think ahead and anticipate situations before they happen, constantly multitask, have na incredible eye for detail, liase well with onboard staff.signallers, be clear and consise, able to retain and accurately make use of knowledge, cope well under pressure, understand the need to keep to time and always act professionally with an ability to prioritise ie fault finding

Its the interview with a line manager i sat the test 2 weeks ago luckily i passed so fingers crossed the interview goes well

Scott boy I have assessments soon, could you please give me anytips you think will help, what questions were asked at structured interview, what's the concentration tests, pm me if you like mate, any info would be brilliant
