advice on interview for trainee conductor position for ATW

Evening guys, wanted some advice on the above subject if at all possible. This is the second time I've been shortlisted, first time I passed the assessments but didn't get past the interview stage. Been in my current job for nearly 16 years and it was my first interview since then, rabbit in headlights! They asked me questions like what would I do if a lady had her bag stolen on the train, her ticket was in the bag, what would my approach be towards onward travel etc. I didn't have a clue :/ I'll do more research but are there any resources that I can use?

My answer would be :

Phone the British Transport Police
Let her continue her journey (good customer service) if any onward connections liaise with Arriva Trains Wales Control and see if they can get permission for her to travel onwards if its with another train company.

This question has certainly got me thinking but I did not want to be the first to answer for fear of making a prat of myself, not that it has stopped me before.

I can see the need to contact control if only to alert them to watch the onboard CCTV which brings me to my next question. Can they watch it in real time or do they have to wait for the train to be shored depending on the technology constraints?

Secondly, could the conductor not issue the woman with a replacement ticket at his discretion or does the answer have to come from above? Maybe this is because the conductor is limited by the range of tickets that he can sell.

Certainly not the kind of question I would like to encounter in an interview.
