I have passed the assessment process but did not pass the final managers interview with Freightliner... Nor am I put in a talent pool I simply have to come to terms with the fact it was not to be on this occasion. I can not receive feedback due to the high number of applicants.

Am I right for any other company I can apply right away?
Does FGW make you resist all the tests even though you have passed and if not what are their time constraints? Aside from the telephone interview I understand there are some tough tests during the application stage?
I have heard talk about borderline passes not being accepted. I'm hoping freightliner have a high pass mark transferable to other companies
Are there likely to be many vacancies arising between now and next year as I missed the recent Chiltern and SouthEastern opportunities

Anyone else in the same boat ie you have passed the assessments including MMI interview but need to wait to apply again?

Hi mate,

Sorry to hear about Freightliner. You have got until 23:45 (11:45pm) to apply for SouthEastern.

Don't sit there reading this, get applying..... ;)

Yes you should be able to apply straight away, although it can depend on the company as some will ask if you have applied for a driver role in the last 6 months
It's only if you had failed the assessments that you'd defo have to wait 6 months before applying again

Also some companies (like FGW) will make there own tests as well to help wittle down the application numbers

As has been said it's only a six month wait if you've failed the assessments.

You seem to know your stuff and how the opportunities arise. Stay positive, work on your technique and how you structure your answers and delivery.

Most importantly keep an eye on the websites

Sorry to hear you were unsuccessful. It's generally 6 months but I believe that between assessments doesn't stop you applying elsewhere.

Sorry to hear whats happened. You are not on your own as you can see from the comments coming in from forum members. As Aivilo says keep eye on websites and from me keep opening new doors x
