If only someone would ask - just sorting out some bus and railway handbills and came across this gem !!

1985 North Devon Red bus promoting the new Rail Link Service to Barnstable .

Very much a London Midland Region Electric Locomotive ??

If and when i come across any more i will share as well as get them scanned and up on my site - Transport Past Times

Dublin City Helicopters - Flying to Holyhead Heliport in 1985

Take a guess at the locomotive , a cross between a Hymek and a Class 47

I would hope that a North Devon bus company would be promoting buses to Barnstaple!

That outline of a class 84 was used extensively in BR publicity material in the 1970s and '80s.
And particularly ironic given their somewhat ... indifferent ... performance!

Come to think of it, I think that class 84 image was also used by Northern Ireland Railways on their timetable covers and other publicitry back in the 1970s. Can anyone - especially our NI-based members - confirm or deny?

An attempt at a Class 87 maybe - This is from when you had to catch the bus ( Express 200) into Manchester to then get a train

North Devon Red Bus :)

Formed from part of Western National, the fleet livery of which was green. Before North Devon could repaint all their buses red, the green ones carried the message 'This is a red bus'
Local coach liveries were standardised around the N.B.C. on two colours applied in bands. North Devon Red Bus, with a selection of red and green service buses chose ... blue and yellow.
Perhaps just someone's attempt at humour...
