Advenza Freight 57 at Cardiff

Who Owns the 57 sat at Cardiff Central, in the siding's by platform 1?

i know advenza are bust, has someone else bought it, or do recivers own it?

It isn't owned by Advenza - the belief of most people was that it belonged to Cotswold Rail (who are also now in liquidation), but it turns out it doesn't. I suspect it may belong to an individual.

I know of someone who wants 5 and 6.

It's 57005, 006 is STILL at Heaton after dging GC's 43080 back from Brush.

Did you know that was the last revenue making service for Advenza...

Well, that's good to know. At least they haven't been scrapped (yet).
Still no idea who owns them? Liquidators or individual?

Advenza did at the time own the 47's and the two 57's, but being in insolvency i guess the creditors now own them. the 66's they had were leased from Porterbrook

That's my undersanding too. They had 57005 (formerly 47350) and 57006 (formerly 47187), plus 47375 (sold on) and 47237, (the latter now with an engine fault?).

The ownership of 47237, 57005 and 57006 has been discussed before in this thread http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=30040 and at present no one is entirely sure who does own them now.

I hear elsewhere that 006 has been frost damaged.
That only leaves 005 that may still be in working order?
Beats me why someone doesn't run the engine now and then and cover it up with an oily blanket etc..

Perhaps because the fuel gauge is at zero, hence the reason it cant be started. Of course as no one knows who owns it you cant just go and start something up that does not belong to you.
