Advance tickets - remind me please!

I am looking at a ticket from Axminster to Twickenham, all on SWR.

I can't remember if the restrictions on trains that can be used apply to all journeys, or just the "long distance" one, in this case Axminster-Clapham Junction-Axminster.

I am hoping to leave Twickenham at 1823 but Journey Planners only offer 1853 service.

Hope this makes sense.

Assuming this is relating to an advance ticket. Regardless of whether the Twickenham service counts as ‘& connections’, the 1823 is a reservable service so you cannot travel on it if it is not your booked service.

I would imagine the forum ticket site will let you force it to the 1823 by specifying ‘Change at’ Clapham Junction, and then adding extra change time there.

Thanks very much - yes, Rail Forums ticketing allows a longer connection so all good.
EDIT: In the end, it WAS the 1853 train. Booked via RailUK Forums so saved £3.50!
