Advance Ticket Manchester Stations

Hi,

If somebody has an advance ticket which says from ‘Manchester oxford road’ is it possible to board at Manchester Piccadilly instead or is the ticket only valid from oxford road?

I know flexible tickets are listed as Manchester stations but not sure on advances.

If it specifies a station you have to board at that station.

If going east you could ask if they'll let you through the barrier anyway, but it is a risk that there's not time to get to the other one if they say no.

If your journey is starting at Picc going west, you could just buy a single to Oxford Road which is needed anyway because there's a gap.
