Additional Northern 323 in service?

Today both the off-peak Manchester Piccadilly - Alderley Edge diagrams were 323s. A couple of years ago this was a regular occurrence, but in recent months one of the diagrams has normally been a DMU.

Does anyone know if this means that Longsight has returned a unit to service after long term repairs? Or was it just a one-off aberration?

Sorry to bump this thread, but if anyone is interested the Manchester-Alderley Edge service has now been 323-operated for 2 weeks. Therefore it does appear that there is an additional unit in traffic.
