Previously I have been able to have RTV's added to an Oyster card at my local underground station. On the last occasion, prior to the booking office closures, the person in the booking office left the office and carried out the operation using a POM.

This morning I have been told there is no way an RTV can be added anywhere to an oyster card, is this correct?

There is a list somewhere on the forum that lists the stations capable of this operation. LU stopped accepting them ages ago.

Marylebone BR is one that can still do it, and so are most(?) LOROL stations, I think.

I think this is the list, obviously excluding those without a ticket office.

It should be an accurate list - are there any stations on there which do not have a ticket office?

I don't know. I just read the paragraph underneath which mentioned something about stations without a ticket office so thought I'd mention it just in case but didn't check the list itself.

Any manned LO ticket office can do it, I haves used Willesden Jct/ Harlesden/ Harrow and Wealdstone to do so in the last few months the most recent being 2 weeks ago at Willesden Jct.

OK, yes that para lists the only LO stations which can't do things requiring a ticket office. None of them appear in the main list above.

Strangely Harlesden and Harrow & Wealdstone are actually run by LU. They are among the only LU run stations to still have ticket offices.

Farringdon is on the list and due to a large Thameslink delay this evening I went up to the ticket office. I noticed they had a "No Oysters" sign advising you to use the ticket machines in the Underground station. Not sure if any other Thameslink stations on the list are the same.

Broxbourne is also on the list. Certainly when I lived there about a year ago the ticket office didn't have the ability to issue oyster (I once wanted to check if I had enough balance to make a particular journey and he used a handheld reader). There is a TVM that can load PAYG credit onto an oyster but it doesn't issue them.

Both appeared on a list obtained from TfL under FOI. Looks like I may need to do some digging. Thanks for the tip offs.

No problem. The oyster area now extends a couple of stops beyond Broxbourne to Hertford East so it may be that they can in fact issue Oyster now. It's of course also possible that the one time I needed something Oyster-related at the ticket office, their system was down or the clerk was not aware of how to use it

Rye House, Ware, St Margaret's and Hertford East are all on the latest list you just linked to, so they may have had their facilities upgraded with the extension of the Oyster zone.
