Hi all,

Currently in the process of editing the Cresston map to my liking and I am expanding Laneyeard station and adding an extra branchline.

I have removed the sidings from Lanyeard and put a extra island platform in using the offset tool and that but what I want to know is how do I make it so that it appears as a station and I can open the train doors there and let passengers on and off. I have tried the buttons and options and I have searched all over the internet and cannot find a decent answer.

My other query is that I'm making a branchline and want to know how to add points so I can take the train off the mainline and onto the branchline, again I have looked and can't find an answer.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure exactly but I think you have to place something on the track to tell it there is a platform

Do you know what it is? I have tried selecting the track alongside the platform edge and clicking "pick up passengers instruction" but nothing happened

Best person to ask is Darandio (may have spelled that incorrectly). He will know for sure.

After adding the platform using offset, you need to either place a platform marker or lengthen an existing one. The platform markers are found in the signal section of the editor.

However, why learn by modifying my route? Your best bet is to create your own and learn the basics that way.

Your best bet is to take a step back and learn the basics by using the tutorials from RSC. The markers one is here, searching their channel will uncover more:

Thanks for the reply Darandio. I have just figured out that the Cresston maps are yours, looking in your sig gives me the website I can download Cresston from. Don't worry, I copied the route first then I am working on that so I have the original still there (and it's the one I actually play on). By using the platform marker, do I need to select a length of track or platform or do I just place the marker onto the platform?

Thanks

The marker goes on to the track alongside the platform. The video above should explain how to do this.

Thanks I will do that. I couldn't access the video earlier as I was on an Ipod and they don't let you view embedded videos.

Does anyone know about adding points?

Thanks
