Hi,

Does anyone know if a product that you download directly from the Just Trains website works with the steam copy of RW 2012, or can only stuff available on the Steam store work with the game?

Although I'm not normally a massive fan of steam, I have to admit that when it works it is a very good idea, the way it automatically updates your games, although it's a bit of a pain having to be connected everytime you want to play your game that you've legitimately purchased in the first place!

Works perfectly fine. I've got addons from multiple people. Just have to remember to update them if they become updated. Some of JT's addons are on steam as well now to.

Re Steam: It will grow on you a lot. Since i started using it in '04 i hated it, mostly due to having a Dial up connection. But now it has improved massivly and couldn't be with out it.

Also i suggest wait to their well known sales to get games etc. Mostly are at Easter, Summer, Thanks Giving in the USA but we get the sale to. Halloween (First time they did it last year) and the Christmas/ New Year sale.

Cheers for the responses. Pleased to know that I won't necessarily have to wait until it gets onto steam to get some of the addons. I got about £20 worth in the Xmas sale, when everything was 50% off. Loving the Exeter - Bristol add on, although a further add on to that down the sea wall to Plymouth (as well as Paignton branch) would be pretty cool one day!

Very welcome.

One addon from Steam i do Recommend is Isle of Wight as used in a lot freeware routes.

I suggest visiting uktrainsim.com and joining the site/ forums as many useful people on it.
