We are off to London at the end of next weekend intend to call at Action. Any suggestions as to the best platform to station us at to take photographs?

Assuming you want freight it will be the London bound platform, although this might be a little tight for some movements. Stations west of Acton Mainline, plus the end of the Waitrose car park at West Ealing also work well. Not that much freight on weekends compared to weekdays.
