Activity outside Boston (Lincs)

Just wondered if anyone could shed light on the activity happening alongside the A16 to the west of Boston station. Seems to be a fair few wagons with metal pieces parked up in the sidings and cranes etc.

Isnt the line between Boston and Skegness closed at weekends at the min the renew the track? could it be materials for that

They have been closing level crossings the last couple of weeks, with the main one being closed this weekend (closest to the station, a main through road).

Not sure exactly what is happening though.

Isn't West Street Crossing being replaced?

It's being widened, and they have been preparing the replacement lights the last couple of weeks. Not sure if they are replacing the wooden gates though.
