First saw this a few months back, an S stock on the District had been plastered with acid down a number of cars resulting in the paint completely peeling off in some sections down to the base metal.
And today I’ve seen another S stock, this time fortunately only on one car, but still looking a mess.
What’s the deal with this? How are people getting access to them because this isn’t just something you can wash off with chemicals and is causing serious damage. I just hope this isn’t a growing problem and something is being done to clamp down and work is being put into catch whoever’s doing it.
It might just be me but I feel there seems to be a nonchalant attitude to graffiti on the railway generally and it clearly is quite easy to do with no consequence. When it’s taken to these levels however surely we need to pay some attention.
