Accrington Station

Last night the 14:44 Kirby to Blackburn service via Todmorden was terminated at Accrington in platform 2, with the return working starting there from platform 1. Is there a cross over at Acrrington to enable this as I don't recall seeing one.

Looking at Google Maps I think that there are actually two crossovers just to the West of the station, between the Scaitcliffe Street and Williams lane bridges.

There are 2 crossovers at the Church end of Accrington station. The facing crossover is a ground frame and the trailing crossover is signalled with position lights from Preston PSB. The unit will have shunted through the signalled move.
