This July (12th to 19th) I've set a task for me and my car to visit every station north of an imaginary line from Ayr to Berwick and tie off another nation's stations!

Can anyone recommend dirt cheap but comfortable beds and breakfast along my route of:
Wigan - Whifflet - Perth - Inverness - Wick - Kyle of Lochalsh - Aberdeen - Dundee - Fife - Falkirk - Mallaig - Glasgow - Dunbar - Gourock - Kilmarnock - Newton-on-Ayr - East Kilbride - Wigan?

For Glasgow you could try McLay's Guest House, about 5 minutes walk from Charing Cross station. Okay if you can put up with parts of the building being a bit scruffy.
