Yesterday morning (10th July), I went on to the Thameslink Delay Repay site to put a claim in for my journey home the previous evening (9th July). This morning (11th July), I went on to put a claim in for my journey home yesterday evening (10th July). In both cases it was the same train that I was travelling on (16:12 from Blackfriars towards Bedford).

After I'd done that I looked at my list of claims, and discovered I'd inadvertently put the incorrect date on the first claim. I'd put 10th July, so was effectively trying to claim for a train that hadn't yet run and now have 2 claims for the same train showing on the system.

I've since put in a claim for the 9th July - and have emailed their customer services explaining what I've done.

Any thoughts on how this may play out? I'd appreciate answers from the experts, rather than people just merely speculating.

It's likely they'll just decline one of the claims as a duplicate.

The GTR delay repay form will automatically reject duplicate claims or claims made for a journey that overlaps with another journey you have claimed for.

One should be accepted and the other will be rejected as a duplicate of an existing claim.
