About the Sassnitz-Trelleborg Ferry

So...... I wondered if the train ferry is being discontinued especially I heard the Berlin-Malmo service will be reintroduced but diverted via Denmark and extended to Stockholm.

It has been discontinued. All ferries go to Rostock now.

According to this article, yes, about 20,000 wagon loads per year by Stena Line, primarily ÖBB traffic from Austria via Dresden. The same rail-equipped ferries were used on both routes.

No passenger trains anymore but still an important link for freight trains. And the government has hinted that they might be prepared to support the route if needed.
