About a proposed City Widened Lines extension to Euston

It makes you wonder what the Great Central would have done had the widened lines ran through to Paddington. Would Marylebone still had been built? Or would the GCR had just continued its trains through to Moorgate or Ludgate?

If this quadrupling of the Metropolitan west of Kings Cross happened, would the Great Central have used them instead of building Marylebone?
