Flown BA 4 times. The two short haul I flew on were horrible. the two long haul had surly cabin crew and head rests falling off. Wizzair are far better for what they charge and what they provide. Just as well since I am flying with them next week.

This is true, however, I got unlucky and got 4 scabby aircraft, surly cabin crew on all of them, headrests falling off the two long haul ones, and had a really good experience on Qantas and LAN flights on the same trip would seem to suggest to me at least that BA are resting on their laurels or have a long way to go. I wouldn't be in a rush to fly with them again. Jetstar were better on short haul.
I probably got really unlucky with BA to be fair. The last 2 flights were right at the tail end of a 6 month long trip which whilst amazing was very tiring. If it wasn't for the headrest falling off the 777 from Buenos Aires to Heathrow my experience wouldn't have stuck in my mind. At the start of the trip the headrest on the 747 from Heathrow to Hong Kong was also falling off combined with the surly cabin crew.
Looking forward to flying with Wizzair again next week.
