A300 First Flight: 40 Years ago!

Just missed this by a day but 40 years ago yesterday the very first Airbus A300 made its maiden flight. It was the first European Widebody Airliner and the very first widebody twin paving the way for today's modern designs.

Such a significant aircraft, and amazing to think that they continued to build them until 2007 - so no doubt they will continue to grace the skies for many years to come.
