LNER A1 60163 Tornado was the steam motive power for UKRailtours "The Border Raider "that would start from London Euston to Crewe with Tornado coming onto the train there . The A1 would then take the tour over the 1 in 75 gradient of Shap Bank to Carlisle . The tour returned later the same afternoon back over Shap with 60163 coming off at Preston. The tour is first seen at Bay Horse and then at Salterwath climbing effortlessly up Shap bank. The return sees 60163 at Strickland woods and finally shortly after leaving the water stop at Oxenholme.
