You knew it would happen sooner or later!!!!
Once again, I returned to the Bo'ness And Kinneil Railway. Odd for me this year as my visit has been quite late this year, usually I'm there within the first operating week. Anyway, Morayshire is now in regular service, so was hauling our 3 Mk1 coach train today.
However, quite a bit wet start to the day. Got there about an hour before the first scheduled departure, so a visit to Tesco's was immenent.....after that, it was back to the station to photo the LNER D49 coming off shed.
Ended up going on the 11.00am departure. Now it left about 5 minutes late than planned, due to a small problem with points at the station....and then we were informed of a landslide further up the line. Although this did not affect the railway in the slightest, checks were being made by the P-Way gang.
So Unplanned stops were made at Kinneil, and one just before Snab Bridge to pick up P-Way workers. This meant that the D49 only had a short distance to built up speed before tackling the gradients. However, she tackled it with style...with what I am sure some purposely slow running for safety reasons and watching for any other signs of landslides. However, the noise she made was beautiful....I just wish the sound recording I made on my mp3 player would justify it!!!! Arrival at Birkhill was only 10 minutes late, with a 5 minute late arrival at Bo'ness I believe:

With this being my first time using my new camera in conditions such as these ( which is odd, suggesting a lack of rain in Scotland!!!!!!
), it provided a good learning curve and I'm getting more used to the camera now.
Anyway, comments are gladly accepted...would be nice to hear where to improve upon.
