No photoshop. The first picture was it sitting idle and the second of it moving away.

It'd have to be a pretty good photoshop job considering the smoke goes in between some of the roof beams. Dunno if there were any spotters in GLC on the 22nd but luckily I had just come back from Paisely Canal and saw this...

So, why couldn't the onboard diagnostic kit see there was a problem and shut that engine down?

I beleve the 1st one is possible but not even the claggyest of diesel locos will do number 2

I saw one at Bristol Temple Meads do one when I was going though on the Taunton to Cardiff Central service - didn't expect it off that type of traction, a 37, 67, 31 maybe but not a 220.

So was I. I was gobsmacked the way he just looked at it and kinda went 'oh well' as he got in and left the station. People were literally covering their mouths and coughing, it was that bad. Unfortunately I don't have video of it as I was only on a 16MB memory card at the time and unfortunately also no one coughing in the shots I took, but believe me folks... it's real. I haven't even touched Photoshop in like, a year.

Question is if it will still be like it... probably not. It hadn't long been started up before it departed so maybe it cleared up later on? I'd love to catch it on Video but whether I'll see clag like that on a Voyager for some time is the question.

LOL so they fixed the engine problem but didn't clean the roof? Lol typical

As someone who is known for my own 'creations' in Photoshop I can vouch for 2 being genuine. Just look at where the clag meets the roof lattice work. It would take a serious amount of work to blend and fade the smoke right to do that. Another observation I'd make, and please original poster, don't take it as offensive when I say this, but the OP was recently asking digital SLR or iPhone 3GS camera. It's not a question that a seasoned shooter and skilled Photoshopper would ask.
