I saw an A stock train passing Southbound through Moor Park at around 22:10 today. Does anyone know what it was doing?

It's final year of RAT (Rail Adhesion Train) duties dispensing Sandite. The D78 Stock Sandite train(s) will be taking over next year, barring catastrophic failure of the sandite systems.

The units used are 5110 and the 6036 trailer, formed up as DM-T-T-T-DM, or 5110, 6110, 6036, 6111, 5111.

The replacement D Stock will be formed up as DM-NDM-T-NDM-DM so as you can imagine, it will be quite a bit quicker off the mark.

You may or may not see 7010/7123 soon...

The other surviving A Stock unit 5112-6112-6113-5113 can occasionally be seen in the sidings alongside Acton Town station, shunting to/from Acton Works

Thanks for the info. Is there any timetable or any way to find out the times of these A stock RAT workings?
