Didn't know about 2 x 67's on VSOE stock 'visiting' Penzance this morning (for runaround purposes only), time I got onto Eastern Green bank to 'phot' it , it then reversed into Penzance station, no photo, I then walk into the station to try to photograph it there, as I arrive it's then leaving! I get one 'very average' shot and with no time to jump up on the seawall to get a better angle/elevation...didn't 'quite happen'<( in the end, but the VSOE stock looked superb..next time eh??
Looked in both 'Railways Illustrated' and 'Railway Magazine' but no mention of any tours down this way today?? Anyone know more?

Many thanks, I assume it will be 'stationed' at Truro tonight? If it is, I'm actually going there tonight, so may well take the camera, just in case!

I don't know Truro well, I visited the station 3 times in the space of 2 days last July. I seem to remember some sort of yard, so I'd say yes.

Indeed a much 'reduced' yard, with access from the West end Down line, is used for Engineering trains there, so hopefully it will be there for some 'phots' later, used to have several running lines behind platform 3 and 4 , but platform 4 was lifted back in the late 80's and the sidings severed at the eastern end of the station, so now the only through lines are the up and down mainlines

I Think I must of seen that train in the distance, as I was travelling from Exmouth to Exeter yesterday around 1430 and could see accross the Exe River what was a loco hauled train travelling from Exeter towards Dawlish and beyond, sp presume it was that.
