A return to form for the 'Lakelander' 07/08/2010

After the disappointment of a couple of weeks ago when the Black V failed on the return leg of the Lakelander excursion it was a nice return to form when old favourite LMS 8F 48151 charged though Lindal in Furness and Askam in Furness northbound under heavy skies. The weather cleared nicely for the return leg and the driver took it easy through Askam southbound as he was booked for a 10 minute stop at Dalton Junction a couple of miles further on. This did mean, however, that he had to attack the bank at Dalton from a standing start!
