Sorry, I meant where do they keep it for the journey south?
Was it busy? :PI caught the GC from Bradford to London yesterday (on the 10:22)
When I was at Bradford Interchange two weeks ago catching the 05:32 to Manchester, there was a 180 in the siding. I assumed this was for the 06:51, but another set arrived in platform 2 to form this service. I guess this must mean the set in the siding was the stock for the 10:22. Maybe this set sits at Bradford all night?
Bradford sets are based and maintained at Crofton with heavier maintenance undertaken by Heaton, swaps between BDI and SUN turns are worked into the set diagrams.
There is no BDI lodge so no Bradford sets stable in Ferme Park overnight. The unit off SUN's 1A61 stables in Bounds Green and then works back into the Cross at 1900ish to form D77 to BDI.
With regards to stabling on the Wall Sdg at Bradford this is sometimes used if there is engineering work ongoing between Bradford and Crofton where there would be no other way of getting sets in/out of depot for their scheduled services.
any scrap yard will do
They park the stock in crofton overnight nr hare park junction in wakefield
