A lot more ticket inspectors about yesterday.

I travelled yesterday with three separate railway companies, Chiltern, Xc and GWR and on each leg of the journey I, along with all the other passengers was asked to show my ticket and Railcard, and in the case of gWR twice in the space of about five minutes.
it’s good to see more staff out and about, but it is strange, in my experience chiltern don’t check tickets until after Banbury I just wondered if something has changed recently or weather this is because it has something to do with the upcoming nationalisation.

In my recent experience, Chiltern seem to have recently upped their game with ticket inspections on the Mk3 sets in the peaks between Banbury and London.

On the DMU services, they don't normally check south of Banbury because they operate Driver-Only between there and Marylebone, but its possible that Revenue Protection have decided to focus more on those services.
