A Funny thing happened while Travelling First Class on Southern...

Purchased a First Class ticket earlier today from Gatwick to Glynde (yes, for the pub. Real Ale thread refers)
Boarded a train, destination Ore. It was a Class 377/4, which meant a First Class compartment with ten seats. By the time we left Gatwick it had eight passengers, including me.
Then the On Board Supervisor came round and did a ticket check. I asked "Is First Class declassified?", expecting then to say yes.
They replied "No" and promptly asked the seven other people to shift. Incredibly, they all did.
It was funny to me, anyway....

I find some of those very small first class compartments a bit claustrophobic with worse views, and generally avoid them.
