In the past few days I have made a few observations whilst at work....
The other day I saw a 31 running light on the up relief at newport.... think it was on tuesday and I think it was wessex colours but not 100% on that because I was rather busy...

Also today FGW ran a class180 on London Pad - Cardiff and back and I had the pleasure of despatching this rare sight on both occasions! I was under the impression these were no longer running with FGW?

Can anyone clear this up for me? :)

180s still make themselves known about the place at the moment, although they have been more confined to the 'other' side of Swindon more recently. So whilst it is now pretty rare to get a 180 in Wales, it is still within the realms of possibility, especially since FGW are down to keep 3 of them anyway!

As for the 31, I don't know about that much. I do know 31459 was in Bristol on Tuesday afternoon, going past it at 1642 just outside Bristol Temple Meads. I didn't expect to see it, that's for sure! 31459 was black still, so not sure where that was going to/from.

Sorry I can't help any further.
