1) I have a 2 together railcard with a mate for rugby away matches. When I get my Priv later this year can we still use the 2together so he gets a 1/3 off and I get Priv 75% on my ticket?

2) When I organise it so my partner gets her Priv is she able to buy a Priv discounted season ticket?

Thanks for any help.

No. The Two Together Railcard requires both adults to travel using railcard (not Priv) discounted tickets.

You should really be asking your employer this question, but as far as I am aware she will only be allowed to use a Reduced Rate Season Ticket for leisure purposes, i.e. not commuting to work.

And again no, but see below.

AFAIAA Privilege season tickets are only issued to active staff members for residential purposes only. In certain circumstances they can be issued to dependants for educational purposes - although strict criteria are in place for this.

Please confirm with your HR dept. & RSTL @ ATOC but I think yes. My ex partner (pre exhood) used her smartcard (free unlimited leisure & educational use) legitimately to travel to/from uni each weekday.

The following quote is from RSTL @ ATOC. Website here.

Section 4: SAFEGUARDED RESIDENTIAL TRAVEL IN THE UK

1. Residential travel facilities in the UK for safeguarded staff are delivered principally by the Privilege Season Ticket.
2. The Privilege Season Ticket allows the holder to travel on National Rail and London Underground services. Its use is therefore additionally subject to Transport for London regulations.
3. The following special conditions also apply to its use, and in any instances of conflicting advice, these special conditions take precedence.
4. The Privilege Season Ticket must be supported by a Photo Identity Card at all times, ie when being purchased and when being used.
5. The Privilege Season Ticket may only be used by the person in whose name it is issued, and in the class of carriage specified.
6. Privilege Season Tickets may be purchased for entitled dependants of employees but must not be used for commuting to work. They may, however, be used for travel to and from an educational establishment as specified at the time of application.

Further to the above, the same applies to non-safeguarded staff.

Section 5: NON-SAFEGUARDED RESIDENTIAL TRAVEL IN THE UK (TOC STAFF ONLY)
...
9. Reduced Rate Season Tickets may be purchased for entitled dependants of employees but must not be used for commuting to work. They may, however, be used for travel to and from an educational establishment as specified at the time of application.
