Presumably you've entered a recognised postcode? I've just noticed that about 90% of the jobs don't have salaries in the description so if you activate the filter they don't show up!

Hi all, I've been a long time lurking around on this thread and have read some really useful information so far, thanks!
So after doing all of the application questions and tests etc etc, I've been given an interview date in August for a G2 box.
I've been seeing on here that of I'm successful at the interview there's no spaces at signalling school till March 2020?
I've also heard through the grapevine about some sort of retaining payment if there is a long period of time between being offered the job and starting.... I've taken this with a lunch of salt but just wondered anyone could clear it up for me?

I've had that same letter. I rang HR they explained to me that I was the RESERVE CANDIDATE if said person doesn't take the role for any reason you will be offered it. 10 weeks after being told I was the reserve candidate I was offered the role. So it can happen. Keep going your nearly there and it's only a matter of time now

I spoke to my lom and he agreed just asked me to send a screen shot of the closing date and he will put in a request for a change to my salary. I thought it was 12 weeks from job offer.

For a job advertised at £25,107 can anyone tell me what that typical total pay would be after Sunday’s are taken into account? For this particular role Sunday’s are from 14:00 onwards and they operate eight hour shifts.

Does anybody have a problem with the filters on the career search?
The salary filter activates but I am unable to amend the radius option. It stays fixed at 50 miles.

Think every time they update the careers website is causes issues

Vacancies have appeared for a grade 9 signaller at Three Bridges ASC, and even though I suspect an internal candidate will be eschewing for this, I wondered if anyone knows what the shift patterns are there. Looking back through the threads on here, it appears that they were 8 hours but changes were afoot.

FP - Flexibility Premium. It is paid to relief staff who generally cover more than one location, and don't know there final shifts till the Thursday before. There are different rates of FP (4%, 18%, 24% and the very rare 32%) these are all paid on top of the basic salary.

4% is usually paid to relief staff who work in just one location, but don't know the exact shifts they are working till the Thursday before.

A very high chance for a grade three position I’d say. It seems that they advertise externally if there are not enough internal applicants but even once it’s advertised externally you still might get internal applicants. It can vary though as it’s all down to the hiring manager.

Asc has 2 rosters, an 8 hour roster, and a 12 hour roster that work alongside of one another

Congratulations! I was in a similar position to you. I had applied for around 10 positions with no luck.
In the last 3 weeks I managed to get 2 interviews and was offered both of them!
The advice on this forum was brilliant and has been really helpful! Can't wait to get started now!
