Hi all

I have today signed my contract and accepted the role of trainee train driver ready to send back tomorrow.

I would like to thank everyone on here for the valuable advice and information, it's been somewhere I've come to for assurance and it has helped me massively.

To everyone still waiting for answers, hang in there and best of luck.

This forum is a great place to speak to like minded people and somewhere I'll continue to visit regularly.

Fully prepared (or not maybe!) for what's to come. I can only imagine it's information overload. My current job involved 17weeks training with lots of info and I was 10 years younger so going to knuckle down and put in everything I can. Back to school it is!

Speaking to some drivers, I've come to the conclusion that the key to passing out successfully is to first balance work/home life. Once you got this in order everything will fall into place.

Correct. Make sure you balance and give yourself time off too as overdoing it leads to stress. If you don't understand something then ask. Most of all, enjoy the training
