On the Class 165/166 DMU an A Exam is every 7,500 miles, B Exam on 15,000.
Our 387 EMU fleet however don’t have A & B Exams, they have T & M Exams, with T Exams being time based and M Exams being mileage based.
The requirements differ depending on the type of traction. You also now get examinations such as a 'Balanced B-Exam' where different requirements from higher exams are incorporated into each seperate B-Exam, meaning that the traction unit doesn't need to be out of traffic as long for higher exams.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
