Firstly, apologies if I've put this in the wrong section, please feel free to move it mods!.

I am finally going on my trip on the 37's on Monday (Preston - barrow and then barrow - Carlisle) no doubt I'll end up behind a DBSO!!!.

Anyway, I travel from rugby and the first step is rugby to Birmingham international on a LM train. From international we catch 9S44 to Preston.

How busy is this train, does anyone catch it or see regularly to give advice on whether I'll be getting a seat?

Also, my tickets tell me it's Birmingham international I have to change at, but both these services stop at Coventry, could I change earlier or is the guard likely to issue me an additional ticket for not having the correct one?!

I would expect a lot of commuters to get on at Coventry / Bham Int, but it should empty out at New Street.

Do you have an advance ticket? If so you have to change at International, but if you have a walk-up ticket you can change where you like.

Yeah it's an advanced ticket. Guess it will be international I change at then. Thanks for the info matey!
