does anyone know where 999900 (Of Stourbridge town Branch fame) has got to since leaving the branch?

Didn't it have a wholly unsuccessful attempt at running a commuter feeder service on a preserved line? In that it kept breaking down during the trial runs, leading to the whole venture being canned?

It was the Mid-Hants and broke when delivered. It has been extensively rebuilt and should now be back at the MHR. See http://www.lctltd.co.uk/index.html who will be operating it.
